I’m willing to bet that if you had this conversation with your dentist, you’d find a new one. Why? Because you know cavities only get worse on their own and can eventually become very painful. What if we asked those same people “What do you need to do to maintain a healthy connection between your brain and body, assuring that the life in your brain is always reaching your body?” I’m going to guess we would get a lot of blank stares. And if people do answer they would probably say something like exercise, yoga, or stretching.. something that at best does nothing to maintain a healthy connection between your brain and your body.

Everyone knows how to maintain the health of their teeth, a part of the body that is easily replaced and is little more than a cosmetic concern. Yet few know what to do to assure that the most important system in their body is always working properly. A part that controls every function of your body and can never be replaced.

This is something to share with people you care about. Make sure they know how to maintain a healthy brain-body connection so that the life in their brain can be fully expressed in their body. This of course is the purpose of chiropractic. Be sure they understand that spinal misalignments (subluxations) can be present without pain and that like a cavity, will only get worse over time. But unlike a severely decayed tooth, a decayed spine cannot be replaced. Guard the one spine you do have and help others do the same.
